From the 1981 "The Producers" laserdisc, this is the Avco Embassy Picture Corporation version of the Magnetic Video intro and the studio's opening logo. In 1972 Avco was involved in the short-lived Cartrivision videotape format. Embassy started their own home video label in 1982, became Nelson Entertainment in 1988, and later their material was acquired by MGM.
Has anyone else gotten the irony of a company called Magnetic Video Corporation releasing a movie on LaserDisc (which isn't magnetic?)

@sygo7g Not to mention that the DVD version has mean old Leo The Lion at the start of the movie instead of Avco Embassy.

The reason it looks better here than on a VHS transfer is because even the oldest Laserdiscs have a much higher quality in general than any VHS.
