  • did you powerlift?

  • @TheFlyGuy009

Yes sir, went from shot put into oly lifting, repeated shoulder injuries cut that short at about age 19. I then focussed on strongman for the next 3 years and did some IPF powerlifting on the side.

  • your a big guy what weight class are you in?

  • @Feydfeydfeyd Was weighing probably just under 300lbs at on 6'5 here.

  • hey man, quick question, in order to improve your power clean, do you need to work on front squat a lot or what?

  • @4244john

    Hey man,

It realyl depends on your weakness. I think the front squat is quite helpful, as are high pulls to the belly button (shrug and onto toes) with 110-125% of your clean. Technique is obviously important too, developing the ability to quickly get the bar from your hips to a comfortable rack height. I drilled alot with lighter weights and eventually got my powerclean up to 396 and full to 440 while training for strongman.

  • The negative comments are from what people call "Haters". They are little skinny dumb fucks who can't lift more than 100 lbs so they come sit on youtube and make fun of people who can.

  • Word. I've cleaned up the form a bit and now doing 550 front and 440 clean despite not training as an oly lifter. Sometimes you got to take risks and learn as you go along.

  • @holymoly1234 damn bro, sounds like you're quite the strength athlete, i'm only 15 and i'm focusing on becoming a strength athlete, i've been working on that dream for ~4 months and my maxes are DL & squat = 245 with my bench at 185, i honestly hope to keep at it. anyway, GREAT lifts, and cheers!

  • The way you caught the bar and the foot placement is the main reason your knee started to hurt.

  • @holymoly1234 good for you bro
