Vik describes Chitika as a search ad network where search visitors will see highly relevant ads. Vik says Chitika is using the search string to show highly targeted ads to search users and is therefore not based on a contextual model. Vik says that if AdSense publishers add Chitika to their pages, they can make 20 to 30 percent more revenue. Chitika has also built a platform for advertisers where anyone can bid on a keyword which is then served across 40,000 publishers sites that get traffic for the keyword they bid on.
