I tried to work out a simple ukulele version of this classic; yet another song made famous (again) by R. Crumb's Cheap Suits. If anybody has the correct chords, please share 'em!

  • hey Fred, thats great. Gonna look at this one in the mirror to check out wtf youare playing!

  • @GUGUG Geez Gus - you're one of the swinging-est ukers I know, so I'm sure you won't have any trouble learning this.

  • You are great. Do you ever play with R. Crumb?

  • You are too kind, Rob! And I like your sense of humour! ;-)

  • I wasn't kidding. You are great. I see you are from Belgium and a friend of mine said he saw him in France. He used to play about an hour from my house at Tony Paco's in Toledo Ohio. You are of a caliber to work with those guys.

  • Then I must apologise. It sure is quite the compliment coming from an accomplished player like yourself. Thank you so much! I once saw the Cheap Suit Serenaders perform here in Belgium some ten-fifteen years ago. I have always liked Crumb and his impeccable taste in music.

  • I like that!

You haven't got all the chords, but you get away with it!

You've got that George Formby roll, I wish I could do that!

  • Hi, here's a version of Persian Rug minus the verse...I play it on the guitar in Bb so you will need to transpose it for the uke.

  • Shiieet!! What was that?

    Awesome!..

  • Magnificent playing! BUT, anything but a "simple version" . Double strums and resquiadoes(sp?) aren't simple to us Sunday string thumpers. Heck, most of us are lucky to play a C6 without string buzz. ;)

  • Great rendtion for only one (little) instrument. Nice technique, lefty!

  • Nice!

  • sugeeeeeee

    (means ,"wonderful" in Japanese)

many arange of triple strum technique
