Kegasus, the InfieldFest mascot, spent some time grazing around the infield at Pimlico on Monday ahead of Saturday's 136th Preakness. The half horse, half man is the Maryland Jockey Club's self proclaimed "Lord and protector of InfieldFest" for the middle jewel of racing's Triple Crown on Saturday in Baltimore. "The Legend of Kegasus will reign supreme over the Pimlico infield on Preakness Day," said the face of the Infield advertising campaign. "As Lord and overseer of the InfieldFest I will be watching over all and making sure all are protected and making sure all are guaranteed a legendary time and experience on Preakness Day."
In March, The Maryland Jockey Club launched the 2011 Preakness InfieldFest campaign, "The Legend of Kegasus". Kegasus is the Lord of the InfieldFest and a modern twist on a mythical centaur. Serving as the voice and personality for all advertisements, Kegasus can be found in all of the campaign's components.

@whereswilliedotcom The Sport of Kings slowly died after most of the world rebelled and killed all their kings, now it is mob rule. Sadly, this mob is made of men and women who have been given the gift of life to prosper in virtue and honor, yet they choose self-directed annihilation.

This is the Greatest Idea In The History Of Mankind! Or Horsekind. Or Man/Horsekind. Or Horse/Mankind. But why didn't they give him a huge horse dong? All Hail KEGASUS!
