Part 2 of 3 shows Local 7 ironworkers dismantling a Potain tower crane that was used to erect the Renaissance Marriot Hotel on South Boston's waterfront in January, 2007. This part shows the removal of the A-frame, machine deck, counter jib platform, and the turntable/cab assembly. Local 4 operating engineers provided their expertise to accomplish this task.

  • Local 139 crane operator here. Usually trucks or A/T's between 80-240 tonners in the milwaukee area. As impressed as I am with the tower crane, the crane you're taking it down with is even MORE impressive! Nice work, brothers!
