The AP's Liz Sidoti says Republicans believe they'll face Barack Obama in the general election. After Obama's recent troubles, the GOP views Obama as a much weaker candidate than previously thought. (May 4)
The bickering and infighting within their party is driving a serious wedge between far-left radicals and more moderate (yet still equally mislead) radicals. Come convention, the bloodshed by both Obama and Hillary will leave both candidates crippled, as has already begun to happen. McCain wasn't my first choice, but he stood the best chance of beating Obama or Clinton, and it doesn't look very hard now.
These are exciting times my friend, exciting times.
Ha yeah, liberals love to pretend in a lot of situations. When it comes to racial issues they love to pretend it's the 60's. When it comes to economic issues they love to pretend it's the 30's. These were good times for Democrats. Now they're starting to pretend it's 2006. Well guess what, they've been in Congress for 1 1/2 years now and their approval rating is 21%. 20% of Democrats say if their candidate doesn't win they'll vote for McCain. What exactly is going well for Democrats?
If "nothing is going right for the Republicans right now", then why aren't the Democratic candidates talking about Iraq? Because the war Iraq is going well right now. The market has had a bad turn (following a record 52 months of economic growth stimulated by President Bush's tax cuts). The economy has actually been doing a little better in the past couple weeks though.
