Nitestar Productions newest short film entry for the 2011 48 Hour Film Contest, the inner city cop thriller "Chicago Heat". Starring Nicole Slapnicker, Monika Belcik, Kyle Hillman and Tony DeGuide.

Police Lieutenant Naomi Warren follows a lead provided by Metro Crime Blogger Lora Engdahl related to the deaths of 3 undercover officers and uncovers corruption within her own detectives division.

"Chicago Heat" was made for the Chicago region 48 Hour Film Project (http://www.48hourfilm.com/chicago/), a film-making competition which challenges filmmakers to write, produce, and deliver a short 7 minute movie in just 48 hours (2 days). We were assigned the genre "Film De Femme" on Friday night and the character Lora Engdahl, writer, the line of dialogue "I better not see this on Facebook" and the required use of a balloon as a prop.

Enjoy!
