12 means 12 guys .

@TheTmny876able You misunderstood the problem; 30% of 40 is 12.
-
How can 30% of 12 be 40?.
-
12 is 30% of what number? Here is it simplified. Divide 30 by 10 = 3. The mystery number is a for example. & multiply 12 by 10 = 120. So.. 3 x A = 120. Then divide 120 by 3 = 40. A is 40. The answer is 40.

Love the vid on percentage, however it may be less ambiguous and easier for some if you use an actual times symbol and another letter (ie "a" rather than "x") for the unknown quantity. Thanks again, yourteacher

The only idiots I see are the many commenters here who are insulting the teacher. He does a great job. As to you slamming him, saying there are other ways, then make a frigging video yourself.
Seriously, what you whiners are, are obviously people so stupid that you lash out at the teacher, even after he shows you how to do such problems, because you still don't get it.
Dumbasses.
