Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565 J.S Bach

Someone once told me about some musician who was criticised because he played too fast. When they asked him why he did it, he simply told them: "Because I can".

It's got loads of little flaws in, because it takes too long to get a perfect recording.

It's only the Toccata, because the fugue is stupidly hard...I can play the ending...and some other bits...but not fluently.

Lol, 'stupidly hard'. Well put, I've been struggling with the Fugue for some time now, but I'm not giving up :D. I'll maybe make a video of my own to try and rival your speed :P, and I'll add it as a video response, if that's ok.

I started playing when I was around 3.

I never used those books, but I hear they're pretty good!

Wel done this is gr8! :) I'm trying to learn this piece and i'm not being very succsessfull. Plus my Piano teacher said that the Fugue is quite easy!

@SevanHouston if you can't get the fugue, start with some bach inventions. there's 15 of them, and once you learn a couple the fugue will come MUCH easier. (:

i'd recommend the 13th, 8th, 4th, or 1st to start off.

After watching this im sure you can learn the fugue.

It may look harder, but toccata is more difficult as the word basically means 'solo', so i think you should attempt the fugue

I think you are very talented and you play amazing. But i also think you played this song a bit to fast as if you were in a hurry to catch the bus or something. A shame because you are sooo great in doing this.
