KACC Director: PLO's fate to be sealed in parliament

The nomination of lawyer PLO Lumumba for the position of Kenya anti corruption commission continues to elicit mixed reactions, with a majority of people who spoke to NTV welcoming the nomination. And as NTVs Irene Choge reports, Lumumbas real test will be in parliament where MPs are to debate and either approve or reject his nomination.

Jamanyoro: Please do not lose your temper. This is only a vetting process and any Kenyan with credible facts about Lumumbas suitability or unsuitability for the KACC directorship should make them public for Kenyans. The decision will be made by the Kenyan Parliament and the Kenyan President. The minimum yardstick for that position is INCORRUPTIBILITY. Is Lumumba INCORRUPTIBLE? The answer: NO. IS Lumumba CORRUPTIBLE? The answer: YES.

Bensongutu: I do not know whether the Board is corrupt. I am only writing about the facts that I know make Lumumba not measure to the yardstick of being the director of KACC. Incorruptibility is the minimum requirement, however far back this lies in ones CV. Moreover, Lumumba was Ezekiel Oyugis advisor and family lawyer. There are so many unclarified questions surrounding Ezekiel Oyugi. The Board should have looked into this at least with the help of what is available Online.

There we go again, Bwana Savai333,it seems like you do know Pro Lumumbas,better than the selecting commitee,how could they select a man like this, with a history of corruption to head an institution trusted by kenyans to fight corruption,maybe the selecting board is also corrupt.

This will be verified by Parliament. Fortunately there are sitting MPs, students during Lumumbas Chairmanship at the University, who will corroborate Lumumbas corruptibility and unsuitability for KACC Directorship. The funds embezzlement, imprisonments, injuries and death synonymous with Lumumbas greed and carelessness as SONU Chairman are in the public domain. KACC Director is not a job for a repentant preacher. Lumumba does not fulfill the INCORRUPTIBILITY requirement for this position.

Kenyans are overwhelmingly behind Lumumba but I can bet my life that parliament will shoot him down. so lets not celebrate yet.
