This is my own raw and blemished take on a very ancient song made more or less famous by none other than Simon and Garfunkel: Scarborough Fair! My take on the song is not inspired by theirs, but rather I took it upon myself to twist it into something slightly different altogether, while retaining the original feeling that has made the song immortal. I also changed the words a bit, and added some new sections and sounds (as well as some overdubbed Syd Barrett-styled slide towards the end of the song). Enjoy!
SHE'S GONE TO SCARBOROUGH FAIR
Are you going to Scarborough Fair
Parsley Sage Rosemary and Time?
Remember me to the one who lived there
For she once was a true love of mine
Tell her to make me a black and green shirt
Parsley Sage Rosemary and Time
Without a seam nor fine needlework
And then she'll be a true love of mine
(Ohhh) She's not there
(Ohhh) She's not there
....She's Gone to Scarborough Fair
Oh when she's crying she won't hear my yell
Parsley Sage Rosemary and Time
But she'll hear seven seas in one broken shell
In this way proves she's no love of mine
(Ohhh) She's not there
(Ohhh) She's not there
....She's Gone to Scarborough Fair
