@Aramgeddon Not necesseraly. I use the Pentax K-5 and 16GB cards. It has 16.2 Megapixels, so more than the D3, and I suspect maybe bigger files (most lie around 25-30 MB per file for normal photography). For night time lapse videos lie around 20MB as there is a lot of black (and raw files are losslessly compressed). I get around 450-650 files per card which turns into 19-27 seconds with 24 FPS and 15-21 seconds with 30 FPS, so scenes like this fit well onto one 16GB card.
