Please look on my second video "diskos rzut dyskiem diskuswurf ancient antike technik" from 14.07.20011. There i show in polish language a second variation of the ancient technique, the disk is swung forward to backward into the deep bending "discobolus" position like some sculptures and pictures on amphores/pots are shown. The second variation of the "ancient" technique looks very congruent with the most "discobolus" sculptures, the first is easier to handle. Greetings R.P.Thomalla

greetings to Prof. W.Decker, for years i had a seminar- by him in "ancient greek sports",when i was at the DSHS, i think i get the solution how the ancient greek discus throw looks like; It´s a kombination of a 360 degrees=one turn with a jump forward, the discus follows more vertically in comparison with the modern 1,5 turn technique, it feels fantastic and it´s quite better than the modern 1,5 turn.
Look on my video" diskos diskuswurf rzut dyskiem antike ancient 5kg" thanks, R.P.Thomalla
