This is a track I did many years ago for a music project I had at MP3.com. I'd originally intended to have all of the "players" switch instruments, but I ended up sticking to flute, trumpet, alto sax, trombone, contrabass sarrosophone, clavinet, and "phat synth" bass through the whole piece, with only the guitar changing sounds from time to time (including "screaming metal" on the theme about halfway through). It was all sequenced manually with a program called Lime for Windows, and then converted to sound using Audio Compositor and public domain soundfonts.

  • Well done lads - no matter how you call those strange instruments of yours - this is what in fact I thought of when writing it for the orgel - you selected good even if a bit bold pipes/registers/switches/apps/.... OK Johann Sebastin Bach - it almost made me dance in my grave:)

  • @Mrababab121212 I was using a (undeservedly now-defunct) program called Audio Compositor to convert MIDI to WAV, by way of soundfonts. (The whole arrangement revolved around the screaming guitar section.)

  • i was going to dislike this at first... but i can't dislike this song. i love it. (so i did the opposite)

  • @Accumen26 Thanks. :-] The use of a manual sequencer was all I had available at the time (I don't even have that much now), but the main thing here is the arrangement of voices.
