Philips 3D TV

This was taken from a demo TV kept in my office. Its amazing. It creates an effective illusion of objects coming out of the screen. The effect is not visible in this video I took, but you can make out if you watch.

thank you all for comments.. i heard Philips has stopped working on this TV. I guess technology is still maturing and it takes another one or two years for that perfect 3dtv to reach our home.

I don't get it, whats the difference between a 3dtv and hdtv? Is it like some sort of a hologram tv or what?

hdtv has very high resolution, you can see clear images in it.

3dtv gives 3d images. Basically you can see things coming out of the screen towards you!

The technology used in this TV from Philips is not hologram. Its called some multilayer rendering. I do not know the details.
