  • As someone who has studied abroad, I think that you need to focus more on trying to have a positive attitude. I'm sure you had a great experience, but you come off as someone who does not want to be back home. Family and friends resent this attitude! Trust me! Try to use your experience to make a positive change; do not just complain about how much different the United States is from Japan.

  • @ohboy3451 Thanks but I don't think my attitude is an issue. Just because I chose to focus on certain differences doesn't mean that I hate the US or anything, they're just my opinions. There were lots of great things I loved about being home again, like being able to understand everything. Also, no one I know would resent any of what I said really. Most of my friends and family agreed and would love me to move to Japan one day.

  • You're kind of a judgmental bitch.

  • @youvegotbighands Better than having no standards.

  • the best part about japan is they don't say 'like' after each sentence ,like

  • @djbarcode Touché!

  • I always see a fat Japanese everytime I go to the store here in Japan, there are fat clerks alot I noticed for some reason. Yes I know there are alot more fat people in the U.S. but there are fat people in Japan too. If you go to the rural areas of Japan people do not care about being fashionable & they dress in boring Uniqlo clothes or farm clothes XD

  • Honestly I noticed the same thing when I came home. All the obese people were just shocking in comparison. I still watch Cops though. I'd rather watch that than anime. xD But also, about the fashion, of course not everyone always looks all perfect in Japan, or dresses in lolita dresses or whatever, but NO ONE WORE THEIR PAJAMAS IN PUBLIC. I can relate you you especially since I live in Indiana and we're 10 times worse than Michigan. O:

  • people weren't staring at you cuz your "blonde" or "thin"... prolly cuz your not Asian... and a tourist?

  • true...that's how I feel about France. I'm going to France next week to continue my studies. What you feel about Japan is what I feel about France. I have no feelings here in the states. Good luck with Japan.

  • I bet your big eyes are the true cause of being stared in Japan. Wow, that blond girl has really big eyes I want to have! 'like' reactions I guess. Haha.

  • @VeryMeltyButter Says the white girl that wishes she was japanese. You're a dime a dozen. You're going to get a reality check one day as a result of your misjudgment of people.

  • Comparing Michigan to Tokyo is like...comparing Michigan to Tokyo...
