Corn is showing up in places you would have never expected. A company in Columbus is making plastic film from corn. Our Ohio visits Plastic Suppliers to learn more about this new technology. From Our Ohio show 223, produced in 2007.

    So ironic, I couldn't help but laugh.

    Completely sustainable my ass.

    This still doesn't solve the problem, more corn will have to be produced in order to make more corn plastics which means more corn fields which will require more petrol based chemical fertilizers and pesticides which are produced from the same oil that is used to make conventional plastics. Your just moving the same oil recourses to something else, it doesn't make the oil go away.

  • there are alot of local places here in NW Ohio that are sprouting up with green food containers and stuff. more than in central ohio. everything from cups and bowls to utensils. I believe the nw ohio area needs to be showcased too
