Beijing Traffic - Wudaokou

The view from Science Park building D in Wudaokou, looking at the intersection of Zhongguancun Donglu and Chengfu lu, just south of the entrance to Tsinghua University, the number one technical university in China.
The video is sped up 3x. The first minute was shot at around 5pm, and the second in the evening at 6:30ish. It's like this every day. In the first minute, notice that any given car moves about 100m (it's actually 3min naturally). I don't know what drivers are thinking when they come up through this way. The night scene is even more desperate.

With Chinese populations + everyone owning a car = giant parking lot. Beijing needs better public transit + even stricter controls on private car licensing.

why you guys always shocked about this ?I live in a city it's 1/5 of beijing ,but in my city the traffic is very normal as this ,it's very normal in each city of CHINA
