First part of thirteen. Our trip to North Korea was a visit to a fucking communist themepark except that instead of communism it was mind-blowing mentally retarded religious experience involving some dude's massive ego and millions of people told to celebrate it. The country is a mental asylum, we had all the freedom to move of the "guests" at Guantanamo and have seen enough creepy propaganda crap to last 5 lifetimes.

Alas. The first part is an intro to the country and the history/politics without which the rest wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. Grab a sandwich and sit through it. Or not. Thats what it is and thats what you get. Enjoy.

Also - feel free to comment, but keep in mind dumbassed comments will get similar replies. Or cookie recipes. Or both. Meow!

  • This could have been a good documentary about North Korea. But instead all you do is complain and talk bad about the country. We all already know that North Korea is a closed poor country etc.... Journalism is about being open minded. It's about seeing a story from different views, also from the North Korean view.

You do not travel to a country that far away just to FLAME it. The film was a flame fest from the beginning to the end not serious journalism... shame

  • @Graome Until you are paying me for shooting videos, you don't tell me how to make them, just watch and STFU. Have a nice day.

  • The whole series was a really nice piece of work but I would comment that NK is not the only place that talks about American Imperialism and takes food aid - I am not sure why the US is quite so desperate to force food aid on people who actively try to refuse it, (in some cases) but it has been the same since the Green revolution (that was about as helpful as GMO) Getting uptight about it is a bit futile (otherwise you are clearly very smart and fun)

  • @cattyerde I just wanted to avoid making a monotonous video about nothing... A stance, whether popular, or not, will entertain.

  • @cattyerde "D"PRK is actually constantly demanding the food aid, or it threatens to start a war. But they report this differently to their own people - the government has often stated that the USAID bags are "tribute" given to North Korea by frightened americans. It just all comical, really.

  • I found it funny that in the introduction comments the authors say that "instead of communist they were visiting....", so they probably believe that communist is good, they are not just in the right place for it...what a delusion!!!

  • @CubanodePlacetas No. I don't think communism is good. It is unrealistic, given the human tendency to be selfish, when Communism depends on altruism and sharing. BUT whatever Communism is or isn't, North Korea has nothing to do with it. North Korea is a crazy theocracy, but since it was built with the assistance of the Soviets, it was masquerading as "communist". In fact, in the last few years, ALL mention of Communism has been dropped, and "D"PRK is all about homegrown Juche now.

  • @monkeetime

Thank you for making these videos. I learned A LOT from the history lesson about North Korea. Great job on that!

I also loved the commentary and look forward to viewing the rest of your North Korea series.

I feel so sorry for the North Korean people. God bless them.

  • @Graome You will see serious message by author at the last part of this video. Lets watch all part :)

In fact, North Korea is same as Japan during the WWII. Japanese are forced to bow for photo of Hirohito at that time. And now North Korean are forced to bow for photo of Kim family.
