ive always had windows computers like my whole life and about a month ago i got a macbook pro and learning mac os x is not that hard to get used to

i had lion for a year and then decided to go back to leopard. i must admit i missed some features that i was used to. so i decided to install it once again. it seems they have updated it a great deal. i dont regret the fact that i came back to it.

Can someone please give me an honest opinion. Is the performance of Mountain Lion as bad as Lion? I'm using Windows right now on my MBP because I'm tired of Lion's sluggishness and slow boot up and applications hanging for no reason. I've tried fixing the disk permissions and reinstalling the whole OS but it only takes about a month to turn to crap again. If Mountain Lion is anything like Lion, I'm going back to Snow Leopard which i never had a hiccup with.

To me Mac looks the ugliest. Dull washed out colors of icons (not the ones in dock and launchpad) and menus, and off-white and grey windows make it look old and dated compared to the transparent glass themes in windows 7. Compiz combined with Unity or Cairo dock in linux looks a lot better than Mac.
