This song takes me right back to fall of 1992. Good times.

90s produced some of the best music of all time.

@EFunkRock I was going to say, I thought they had remained Cool. Plus, it would be four people since, during that period Gene Griffin was producing with Teddy Riley on Bobby Brown's "I'll Be Good To You" and "My Prerogative".

@MystroMusicMan He didn't say anything negative about Teddy Riley, at least publicly. You might've misread my statement. What I said was that in the MTV interview he dissed New Edition and Babyface, two of the three reasons why he even has a successful solo career in the first place; Teddy Riley is the third reason. I was basically asking why he's dissin' them, stating he's better musically than them and doesn't need them when they're two of the three reasons he has a career. "GE" - by Babyface.
-
@EFunkRock Wait.. what did he say about Teddy Riley?
-
@MystroMusicMan Me neither. I saw that interview on MTV back in 1997 when he ripped Babyface and New Edition, stating that NE makes the same amount of money a night as he does by himself ($100K). I went through the 5 stages of anger when I saw this. I'm like, "What the fuck? Why are you dissin' two of the three people (the third is Teddy Riley, btw) who gave you revelance in music?" I didn't care what his issue was with NE and/or Babyface, why burn the hands that gave you great songs?
-
@EFunkRock ..and you know? I don't even understand how they became at adds with each other. I just remember Bobby Brown making degrading remarks about Babyface's songwriting on MTV prior to the release of Bobby's "Forever" album in 1997.
I use to play this to death. Bobby was the man.
