An animated music video I made of Alex Chilton's obscure classic, "Bangkok" .... This, more than anything else, is a rotoscope animation test. I took the footage, slowed it down to the beat of the music, layered it a bit, than put the animation over the it ... I'm amazed how well it synced to the music.
That's awesome :) ... Alex Chilton was a real talented musician; he's very missed. If you can get your hands on it, there's a compilation of his solo work out there.

Thanks for getting back. When I was a DJ in college for WRVU (Vanderbilt) we had that song on a CART tape (basically sorta like an 8-track). The DJs wore that thing out. When I stumbled up on your vid it brought those days right back.

Thanks for checking it out! I hadn't been to the page in a while and just noticed the comment now... Much appreciated! I found the footage on youtube, ripped it, layed it over and over for a "ghost" look, then rotoscoped over the video. I edited it to time it to the Chilton song.... Didn't take long, but it rendered on my computer for a good four days!

Thanks so much ... glad you liked it! ... I used a software program called "Studio Artist" in order to do the rotoscope animation.....
