@19Malolat94 You can go to Home Depot and buy everything you need for growing your beautiful plants. Buy some fluorescent bulbs with the highest LUMENS possible, you will thank me later. Google or ask in home depot something called "Clamps". It's like a round dish looking thing where you can put your bulbs in and it will redirect all the light to a particular spot. It's a cheap alternative if you don't wanna invest to much money.
High pressure sodium are best and less bothersome. Hope this help

More likely anti-microbial soap residue or some other cleaning chemical on your hands would pwn them. Besides, if wash your hands that removes the bulk of the oil. Maybe some really small or fragile seeds could be adversely affected but not any vegetable seeds I know of (I live in Ontario, Canada btw) o.o
