She has good form, but I don't feel like she has enough power and momentum. He routine just seems very stilted.

@benrobinson77 I agree that she is not very original but I disagree that all his gymnasts look the same. Bross for example has power packed routines that have been specialized to show off that ability of hers. Nastia was never a power gymnast and has more graceful, balletic routines. They really don't look anything alike.

@Spacecadetism well its an endo circle, isnt it lol

you can tell she is under Valeri's coaching at this time because she looks like a machine, very technical and nothing is unique. Same moves as Nastia and Rebecca Bross. Of course i respect his coaching and he is obviously good at what he does but he seems trains everyone to look like Nastia

But I feel like the tkachev is a release that requires alot of amplitude, and less work on form to look great, whereas something like a gienger would be great for Ivana, she has such good form, it would be great.

She had an excellent showing in 2009.

@XxjceeT6xX I have noticed the same thing! They seem to only do the bare minimum for requirements and add no personal stamp on their gymnastics.

Courtney Kupets is the queen of releases. I swear, she has wings she flies so high over that bar!
-
I wish she would learn a jaeger or a gienger and take out that tkachev.

LOVE HER LEOOOO
These athletes are still very talented. However the routines are getting very cookie cutter. Is anyone not doing a kip mount, stalder circle from low to high? Do dismounts other than flyaway even exist any more?

I've been thinking the same thing lately. The new Code of Points is supposed to make them be more artistic, but it ends up making the have to do essentially the same things. Whereas before they could be more original.
