Coleco really just should have released a memory expansion module instead of the Adam. It was the final nail in the coffin for them. They rushed it out with so many bugs and so little games.

Where do you find disk images for the ADAMem? I can only find CV cartridge images.

@segafan7: The Commodore 64 games collection is so big by the way, that I'm still finding new interesting titles of old and new C=64 games I didn't know. And it just keeps on coming. But thats beside the subject. There are also people developing new games on the ADAM these days, like Arcade Donkey Kong.

Man I can only watch so many of these videos. I feel like I wanna cry. Hah.... Brings back the best memories.

Coleco just didn't release enough of what people REALLY wanted for the Adam... and that was GAMES!! So... the much cheaper Commodore-64 became the most popular computer system at the time. It had A LOT of games created for it. Coleco really should've just stuck with what they were good at... making games for the ColecoVision. The ColecoVision most likely would've lasted much longer if the Adam Computer hadn't killed off the company...

But, if you know your videogame history... you know that all the problems with the Adam (in terms of working properly and such) was what eventually killed off Coleco as a company. The Adam was actually well liked at the time, but it just shipped with too many bugs. Usually it was either problems with the tape drive or the printer. The keyboard for the system was excellent and the computer had plenty of RAM memory for the time.

Ya... I remember this VERY well. I had the casette tape version of the game for the Adam Computer. Coleco had bought the rights to the Dragon's Lair arcade game in hopes of coming out with an ACTUAL laser disc player add-on that would actually play the game just like the arcade. Of course, that turned out to be too expensive of an option, so we got this version for the Adam instead. Still, for the time it was pretty cool. The end scene with the Dragon was really well animated.

I loved this game and I remember playing it for hours back in '84! I also loved 2010 Text Adventure for the ADAM. Cheack out my eBay store "Erik's Game Shack". I am selling 2010 and also Best of Broderbund for the Coleco ADAM!

awesome! i haven't seen the adam version of dragon's lair in about 20 years! if my memory serves, if you hide behind a rock in the last level and let singe hit it with his fireballs until it disappears, a diamond shows up. i'm going to have to get that emulator and give it a try. thanks for posting a great video!
