For over 3,000 years Egypt was ruled by Pharaohs. But in that last sweep of time, one pharaoh stands out. He would reign for 67 years, command the largest empire on earth and capture the imagination of the world. His name was Ramesses. Ramesses built a reputation that has resounded through history. It was a reputation deliberately crafted by the pharaoh himself. Ramesses was in fact a master of propaganda, projecting his power beyond the battlefield across the ancient world

    how do people think ????

  • He had red hair that set him apart? Everybody knows that many of the ancient Egyptians used to dye their hair with henna.

  • @Ozjourneyman I heard that!!!! Some people are so fast to criticize!!!!

  • These "scholars" are a bunch of bloody morons!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ramses did not have red hair... it was the effect of using HENNA to mummify the body of a dead AGING king.. gray hair turns red when henna is applied to it. These Ph.D's must have fried their brains!!!

  • The narrator of this documentary gives the names of modern places so as to gives a "now world" reference to the geography. He allows us to understand the places without the need to research old maps. If that fact is unsettling for some then perhaps they should create their documentary in the style they would be most comfortable with.

  • @TheNorah1995

Well, yes , you r totally right ... But I'm Vietnamese and this day , they still called it the same names in Vietnamese as they did centuries ago .... That what confused me ...

  • @TheNorah1995 I believe that Israel at the time of ancient Egypt wasnt known as palestine. The land known as Palestine now was called Judea-Palestine by the Romans at the time they ruled. Before that the title Palestine didnt exist, from my knowledge the land was called Judea. Though at the time of Ancient Egypt it could have been called something else. Never the less, it isnt called Palestine

  • Ramses dun goof'd.
