READ BEFORE WATCHING
This video is dedicated to Maria (Default871) as welcome-to-SC present!
This is another collab with the one and only Kitak (KitakLaw), she wrote the storyline, I did the editing. Thanks for sharing your creativity with me, hun!
Storyline:
Jane looks through old photos when a painful memory comes to her:
A ship from England arrives in the New World, and the crew has orders from the king to explore the area and report back to him whether a colony could be set up. On the voyage are John Smith, an explorer, and Jane Porter, a young artist accompanying her father, who is there to document the wildlife. By the time they arrive, Jane had already developed a love for the dashing John Smith, but she is too shy to show it.
A few days after the camp had been set up, John wanders off into the forest, and Jane follows at a distance. She is better suited to London streets than the wild, and trips, which catches John's attention. He helps her up, and they continue together. John tells Jane that he had discovered that there were already people living in the forest, and that he believes it would be best to befriend them first.
Days pass with Jane in a daze; she is deeply in love. But sadly her dreams become a bit to unrealistic and they are completely shattered when John takes her to the Indian village, where they are met by Pocahontas, whom John has already met. Jane becomes instantly and insanely jealous and runs off, but John later tracks her down and the two make up.
When they return to the camp, they discover that Radcliffe, the leader of the expedition, has decided to ignore the king's orders and plans to build a fort right then and there. The two of them try to dissuade Radcliffe, telling him that there are already people there, and an intrusion like this could easily lead to open war. Radcliffe, however, is so sure of his victory that he refuses to stop, but he is willing to meet the Indian chief.
The two peoples meet at the base of a mountain, but Radcliffe's arrogance quickly sours the negotiations and fighting seems inevitable. When Radcliffe tries to initiate a fight, however, John stops him, but is wounded in the process. The rest of the crew, outraged at this, mutiny against Radcliffe, and finally, peaceful negotiations can start again.
In the end, it was decided that the English could settle there, as long as peace could continue between the two peoples. As a sign of goodwill, Pocahontas agrees to travel to England to meet the king. Likewise, Jane chooses to stay longer in the New World, to prepare the natives for a permanent English presence. As farewells are being exchanged, Jane sees Pocahontas kiss John. She approaches him, and says, "You really love her, don't you?" John replies that he does, but that, no matter what happens, he would always count Jane as one of his closest friends.
With a smile, Jane is finally able to look back and see the beauty of the friendship they shared.
Wow.
