Lesson One in a series for total beginners who want to learn how to play in kirtan and don't have the time to learn all the hand practice beats you normally have to go through.

Right Hand:
Ta - strike center with index finger, open sound
Ti - strike center with middle and ring finger, closed sound

Left Hand:
Khe - spread fingers and strike center, closed sound
Ge - close fingers and strike off-center, open sound

Rhythm:
Ta --- Khe - Ta - Ge - Ge

  • @2323Aguilar Big differences. Clay typically has much better sound quality. Fiberglass is much more sturdy.
