I thought this was originally a Randy Newman song! I was apparently mistaken.
I've always lived in Dayton and even I don't recognize where some of the black and white photos were taken.... Must have been a really long time ago.

Randy Newman wrote and originally did sing the song. A lot of the b & w photos of downtown Dayton were from the early 1900s since that what the song is about.

From the late 60s to the early 70s, Harry Nilsson had the absolute perfect voice. Nobody was better.
