One of the best videos here. I can totally relate to every question in it, I too have never wanted anything more than to be a commercial pilot. Last July i failed a flying aptitude test for a FTO in Europe, but i'm determined to ignore what has happened, move on and never take NO for an answere. I'm hoping to start my PPL in 2009 and just build up. Initially i thought, that's it i'll never be anything and don't want to be anything if i can't be a pilot, but with the right mind set i know i can.

@210482fmj but on the other hand even if what you said had any grounds considering how much that varies from person to person, don't you think that spending 10 hours a day sitting behind a desk is the most boring, annoying and stressfull thing to have as a job? Or perhaps attending people in a store? If you're a pilot, then be a pilot because that's the only way you'll be happy! Now, at least for me becoming a pilot isn't not even by far a dream, it's an objective, a goal!

this would be a cool job but i do think after all the hard work to get to be a pilot you may find its not as quite as you thought it would be and the excitement of actually becoming it could maybe leave you feeling dissapointed when it comes to landing a job as a pilot. then again perhaps not. I bet there are some people who became pilots and decided they didn't like it after all and quit or maybe got fed up of it. after all people get tired of their jobs

I was at Texas State Technical College training in their commercial pilot training program and was doing well until the Twin Towers attack happened. We were grounded for a long long time and the hiring of civilian pilots kind of stopped. It's never gonna be like old times. If you wanna be a com. pilot you have to start from an early age, do great in K-12th grade and join the military.

@gopussycat Me too! I really love to fly. Every time i see the sky, my ambition to be a pilot became stronger! Since i want to be a pilot, I started to study hard to improve my aptitude and my scientific altitude! WHEN I READ YOUR COMMENT, I become happy because we had a same dreams! man i know how it feels im only 12 but this is my dream. nobody understands how we exactly feel but its a great feeling i got iterested 5 years ago when i played fsx for the first time. but the question remains is it possible??
