Fire caused major damage to the popular Catch 54 Restaurant on Madison Avenue in Fenwick, Delaware on Tuesday Evening, August 2nd, 2011.

All customers were evacuated to safety, and there were no injuries.

Fire equipment from Roxana arrived on the scene at 8:35 PM and were soon supported by Ocean City and Bethany Units. The fire was under control by 9:15. Other support arrived from Bishopville, Frankford, Millville and Rehoboth Beach.

The next six weeks are the busiest of the year, so the fire came at a very bad time. It is estimated that it will be several months before the restaurant reopens.

That's very sad -- one of my favorite restaurants in the Ocean City Md Fenwick resort area. Glad everyone got out OK.
