...concrete things to address this century old issue. to wagkangangatch: i've seen churches and members of it who won't even welcome street people and treat them as eyesores. now tell me, why would church not allow RH Bill? if that is one solution to lessen the problem why not go for it? "COMPREHENSION and KNOWLEDGE what is RIGHT" is NOT ENOUGH. you translate your comprehension and knowledge to concrete actions of love. Faith is not enough without actions. What is right is also relative.
wow! ecstatic to know that Bishop Tagle actually entertained and answered my question. siguro nanggagaling ako sa reality na kahit saan ako magpunta ng parte ng bansa, i see street children all over and would always ask: "if Philippines is the only Catholic country left in the world and claim to be so religious, why are we letting this thing to happen? isn't it that Jesus said: "whatever you do the least of your brethren you do it to me?" and if we claim to love God we should have done...
Tama ka Bishop! There are a lot of charity centers/works established and organized by the church to help the poor like HOME for the Aged, may mga medical missions, feeding, giving of food, may mga orphanages at iba pa.. We just have to acknowledge those things and be grateful!
To Rebie: Why not throw ur questions to urself and to the corrupt officials? And one thing, nobody needs ur "benefit of the doubt"! What is needed here is COMPREHENSION and KNOWLEDGE what is RIGHT!
