RCPowers B2 - Twin GWS EDF-50 - V3 - Take 1
OK, the ongoing saga.
So I got V3 built, is the V2 airframe but the motors have been throw and replaced with a pair of GiantCod BL1230/14/4990 inrunners, a pair of HobbyWing 6a ESC and a single 1000 2S LoonMax pack. these motors have already paid for themselves in air time compared with the short life GWS brushed motors.
The thing flys loverly :) power is marginal but the motors manage to deliver around 26 watts each and they are sufficient to keep the plane flying. so all in all, job done, a stable platform in as much as the plane now performs on a reliable basis, charge it and fly it :)
Just one more flight ;)
Filmed over Lewes in Sussex at dusk (nice thing about these planes, you can throw them in the boot when visiting folks). We got a few of the locals going, I'm sure they thought the martians were coming ;)
No problems. Motors still going strong, airframe still intact (collected a little tape on leading edges near to central nacelle), in fact a real surprise for such a cheap and rapid build :)
