After a longish dry spell, I'm back with a new AMV exploring one of the most complex relationships in Code Geass, that of Lelouch and Suzaku. This is the first video in what I hope to make a two-part SuzaLulu project, and it shows the antagonistic side of their friendship/rivalry.

Poor, sad, homolusting Suzaku :(

Title: Always
Anime: Code Geass
Music: Always by Saliva
Pairing: Suzaku/Lelouch

The next video in this series will depict Suzaku and Lelouch as allies. Comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

  • People hate Suzaku because he did a lot of fucked up stuff in the anime...but that's the reason why he's an awesome, complex character with plenty of flaws. I think Code Geass was trying to turn around the whole "perfect knight in shining armor" trope with Suzaku. Plus, he's the only character who was very well developed...Lelouch just seemed flat-out insane half the time.

  • @MetronomeOrchid "Plus, he's the only character who was very well developed..." More ridiculous words have never been spoken.

  • @rini10010

    Why is that?

  • @MetronomeOrchid Because you think Suzaku is more complex than he seems (to which I agree), and yet somehow think Lelouch is just "flat-out insane" and that no other character in this massive cast is well-developed, despite the fact that we have at several other leads with complex backgrounds and motivations. It's like some kind of intense fannish tunnel vision.

  • @rini10010 u have a point, but i also put stock in being unselfish as doing things for others and not for u self...but u right suzaku guilt was encompassing to the point that he judge others not just himself and that made him blind to the bigger picture, although i'm glad lelouch has suzaku on opposing side cause i can imagine how different things could've been if lelouch power corrupts him.

  • @viviantazo1 although his logic is flaw most of the time, cause if u compare lelouch and suzaku, lelouch is stronger in term of mentality cause he's not afraid to kill to get what he want, suzaku on the other hand is afraid cause of his killing complex and that's what held him back.

  • @xRAKDOZx he only admitted to himself, nobody knew what he is cause he hide behind a mask; zero is love by the people cause he projected that image, while it was suzaku who is always in the open with his feeling and action so he was hated, and i doubt he was looking for the easy way out really now; he wanted the same thing as lelouch, his motive has always been the same to change brittania so he chose the side that's more justify, that is suzaku he has always been on the people side.

  • @MetronomeOrchid I think its the other way around...

  • @viviantazo1 true zero is a son of a bitch no one can deny that but he Admitted that and whether is ethically right or wrong he, just as all of human history, proved that the end justifies the means. And he always stuck to his goal fucking Britania up while Susaku wanting to "protect" japan all he did was betray every single side he was on and looking for the easy way out so he, not any one else, but he himself wouldn't suffer

  • @viviantazo1 Not true. He was selfish, he just deluded himself into believing that his actions were unselfish because he was crippled with guilt and couldn't face his past yet. It's one of his chief flaws and something that made him an interesting character. Only at the end did he decide to actually make a sacrifice, but it was a significant one.

  • @viviantazo1 suzaku is one of the most unselfish person in the history of anime actually u comparison is just ridiculous.

  • @xRAKDOZx i can't help but laugh cause that's totally untrue; why was suzaku so against zero in the first place cause he thought he was similar to his father (who didn't care how much people suffering as long as he could continue the war cause of his pride of not want to lose), and even though he killed his father he suffered for it ever since with his killing complex, in order for lelouch rebellion to succeed he killed lots of people right and one of those people his own sister.

  • @alicemadden ok lets agree i may have exagerated a little but what's the point of doing and or experience any kind of art (including anime or any other kind for that matter) if your not gonna involve your feelings in it that's the whole idea of art also i may hate the character itself but the fact that someone actually design a especially to be hated and succeeded without making a stereotypical and shallow character is awesome

  • @xRAKDOZx Wow, I'm sorry but saying you hate a fictional cartoon character more that a real psychopathic mass murderer is just insane. Separate fiction from reality please. Thanks.
