  • The v6 has no power compared to the v8

  • i love the fact that these new jeeps (even the older V8's) can kill most ricers on the road...just shows that jeeps are the real deal..really wish i had a V8, but i guess my straight 6 will do..lol

Personally i believe the 5.9 is a better engine for towing also, the torque is practicly the same, and it doesnt need to rev high to pull the same weigh as a 5.7 does.. They built the 5.2 and 5.9 magnums not with HP in mind, but with low end torque, the 5.9 is actually limited in the ZJ it cant pull anymore weight then a 5.2 can (6500 lbs), because of the frame limitations. In a Dodge pickup tho a 5.9 can pull around 9k pounds

  • @jeep4jeep

    The 4.0 Inline 6 was 185HP, and 220 lbs of torque . 3500 lbs.

    The 5.2 V8 Magnum was 225HP and 300lbs of torque. 3900 lbs.

The 5.9 Magnum was 245HP, and 350lbs of torque. 4300 lbs.

The 05 WK with the 5.7 Hemi weighs 4870 lbs. The 05 5.7 Hemi has around 330HP and 370lbs of torque, the reason the 5.9 is faster is because it weighs 500 lbs less, but because the torque is at around 3000rpm, the 5.7 is higher, and because of that the 5.9 launchs alot better.

So next time you post trash like that on a video, maybe you should learn more about physics and what it takes to propell a vehicle....

Of course a car is going to be as faster or maybe faster then an SUV.. The reason it has 8 cylinders is not just for towing, but because V6 engines " let alone a V4" unless they are diesels are underpowerd ... when it comes to a SUV that weighs so much and has more wind resistance..

  • @05Forenza

Your comparing a CAR that weighs 3400 lbs to a SUV that isnt as aerodynamic as the CAR and weighs 5,000 lbs...... Your an idiot... Completetly ignorant... lol... That 4 banger wouldnt be able to move 5k pounds in 7 seconds.. More like 12 or 13 seconds......

  • @suprmn004

Well the older V8 Magnum's, are faster or as fast as the Hemi's like in this video. Reason is because the Jeep is a bit lighter, its not the HP that makes them fast its the torque, and the torque on both engines is about the same 350 lbs, 370 for the Hemi. ( the Hemi is a magnum engine, with a hemi design)

This guy got around 7 seconds on his 0-60, my 98 5.9 Magnum does 0-60 in about the same 6.8s, this is why the 5.9 was only suprased in speed until the srt8 and not the 5.7

  • @Ryani870 sucks :(

  • @Stratus374 i want the name of the song too did you find it? it sounds like jadakiss

  • Song name please?

  • Actually...apples to apples....Exactly the same time as a V6 Toyota 4Runner. Rather than compare to a sedan.

  • @suprmn004 It's barely 1 second faster than an old stock Acura TSX...and the Acura has 4 less cylinders. Exactly the same as a Toyota Avalon, with 2 less cylinders.
