You know how they say that you're safe inside of a car in a "lightning storm"? Well, it's pretty much true. This video is not staged. I literally drove my van into the "kill-radius" of this huge Tesla Coil. It arced directly to the windshield wipers, the radio antenna, and to the metal quarter panels and hood. Was I able to drive home afterwards? Was I also able to listen to the radio, and use my turn blinkers too? YEP! Because I electrically connected everything together beforehand. Doing this resulted in the prevention of any potential difference (voltage) showing up across the important stuff ; )

I did not ground the van to Earth, because I wanted to see the high voltage flash over the tires...which it did! Nice and bright too, as the carbon (soot) particles turned into miniature carbon-arc lamps.
