This is the story of all the internet lives that I've had over the years. I've had a couple but this current one is the most meaningful and the one that I'll always keep coming back to.

Youtube was my first community since I found it when I was 12. Although I haven't really made any friends from it, I've actually made irl friends because we bonded over youtube! :D

I've been doing youtube stuff since middle school, I started off on a channel shared with my best friend at the time where we made "funny" videos that we thought were thuper cool. But then I made this account and got into the whole community aspect of youtube, and I like it a lot better. Way way back in the day was neopets, but I could never make mine super fancy so I never got any cool friends ):

@WowKablamo I never could figure out how to properly do neopets, so all of mine eventually died...I think they can die. I originally made this channel to upload "funny" videos of my friends and I shooting each other with beebee guns. Those videos have since been privated.

(I posted that comment a little too hastily) Now I'm a part of YouTube and tumblr and have made a load of great friends as a result. It's made me wonder how different I/my life would be had I gotten more involved in those other communities. Would I still have started making videos and meeting cool people on here? Or would I have just continued being subscribed to Alex and Charlie and no one else? But I'm glad things turned out the way they did.

The only communities I was really a part of were Runescape and Newgrounds but I didn't ever make friends with anyone there. I just sort of lurked around and watched everyone else have their fun.

Oh, I've also attempt at making videos here on YouTube for a bit over a year now- but I haven't quite felt the community feel so much yet. I watch other YouTubers videos more than I post my own. Lately I've been posting mine on Vimeo because I've noticed better feedback on them (my videos) in a more respectful and appreciative way. I also enjoy Vimeo's website format, among other things...

Tumblr is my community. Many of the people I follow/follow me are extremely caring and interesting. They have so many great thoughts to share and give back input on mine.

Pinterest is also a community I've joined quite recently. It's the most creative, simple and yet mind-boggling website I've stumbled upon. I love posting my own ideas and such and seeing the response from others.

I was a fan of neopets for a while

then it was runescape

now i'm on reddit and youtube (lurking) and tumblr.

I found these through procrastination, which i am the best at.

I'm actually supposed to be doing a research paper right now.

I think when I was younger, I met people through KOL chats hahaha. That was my first community, and then I just found Harry Potter websites and friends through those, and that eventually led me to the actual YouTube community. And I like it here.
