A quick review of the stuff I upload will lead the informed viewer/listener to conclude that I really like rock and roll. I do, make no mistake. I like this stuff too. This is rock and roll before it was electrified. It is American music. Pushed through the strainer of folk music from Europe and Africa. This is, of course, more European... and still a force that influenced every rocker from Elvis to the Dead Boys, whether they knew it or not. This sh*t rawks, y'all.

  • OMGoodness !!! Thank you for posting. Saw it the other night on Leno kept looking could not find it to share it with friends, Amazing voices and YoYo Ma as always does not disappoint you made me smile :)

  • @radiodjfureal : Glad you like it; I'm still listening to it a couple of times a day. Unbelievable performance.

  • Geez... after watching this video like two dozen times, it finally dawned on me... watch Yo Yo Ma at the end of the tune... he throws his arms up... in what I can only assume is jubilation at the performance just proffered. He KNEW this was "the good stuff." And he was right...

  • Absolutely love this! It's actually Here AND Heaven, btw ...

  • @bixlives57 : thanks! Figured it out before I read your post. Vid title changed.

  • I was just flipping channels and ran into this on Jay Leno. Unbelievable. I think it is the most beautiful music I have ever heard. I love that Yo-Yo Ma is spending his talent this way.

  • @projectdcc : it certainly is heart-achingly beautiful music. And the performance is beyond reproach... perfect, I'd have to rate it...

  • does anyone else think the male singer looks like Jude Law?

  • @walkshe The bass players name is Edgar Meyer. I too went to see them at the theater, and it is was incredible!

  • I've always loved Nickel Creek and especially Chris Thile. Saw the live telecast of The Goat Rodeo Sessions on Jan. 31st at the theater. The concert was absolutely amazing! And, Chris Thile, Stuart Duncan and (oh crap, can't remember the bass players name) wrote every song on the CD. Aiofe O'Donovan also helped in writing this particular song. AWESOME stuff!!!

  • 10 years old, and really liking this video
