To Rena, usually once a patients CGF is 15 they start dialysis. Of course this can differwith everyone & with every doctor. Excersise doesn't exactly make the kidenys better but it can help with high BP and that it turn can help your kidneys. With end stage though, the only option is dialysis or transplant. Ecersis is great in al cases but especially to help prevent you from kidney diasease.

Thank you for your video! I learned more from your video than the one given to me from NxStage. Thanks again.

hi! i was wondering if you've ever used a warmer? I think i'm totally spoiled by that thing... I'm still training, and we haven't used the pureflow (hopefully that is tomorrow)
how are things going for you nearly 4 years later?

@sundayismine
I actually use the warmer quite a bit. I prefer the pureflow, though (until the built in heater goes out though). I actually am doing good 4 years later, and my kidney is starting to work again!

what is the price of this GREAT home dialysis machine?
hishahbaz1 2 years ago
In the US, the patient doesn't have to pay for the machine. We sort of "lease" the machine and it's paid for by our insurance. The actual purchase cost for this machine is around $20,000

This is a great educational video. Do you exercise also to keep your own kidneys functioning. I often wonder what is the GFR kidney dialysis patients.

I don't exercise as often as I should, but I'm trying to do it more. When I started dialysis two and a half years ago, my GFR was 12, now it's zero. I have absolutely no kidney function remaining.
