@nznaturopath I will know in about a week. Just ordered a Keeley and I plan to test that out. I have a hunch it's not needed. This pedal is buffered and has enough compressed qualities. You can't hear on this vid but you can feel when you are playing the pedal. Hands down....my favorite overdrive! 2nd would be the OKKO Diablo

No compressor attached. Gt(tele)->Ethos->Fender TheTwin's PowerIn
If you feel compression, I think it may be Ethos's one or TubeAmp's.
