I really like this program a lot and they are GREAT skaters, but maybe the program is too cluttered. This reminds me of the time when Tamara Moskvina (Oleg Vasiliev's coach) made the same "mistake" w/ the young mishkutenok/Dmitriev in 1988-90, when she made the long program too cluttered and difficult that their speed suffered.

I feel the same. They look uncomfortable with the programme from the moment they step on the ice. I believe artistically neutral programmes, like those of Totmianina & Marinin, would be better suited to this pair - at least until they find their style.

maybe you are right. But her character just doesn't work for me in this program. I really like their SP, for isntance, which they can skate in a brilliant way, btw. But this concept in their LP just doesn't work for me.. esp. on HER part.. i don't know..

I believe if they had pulled off the technical elements, it would look good and fun. You can only be funny if you have a sound technical base, not a shaky one. Maria needs a lot of psychological coaching - and her coach needs a lot of patience!

as good as the musical piece is, this choreo is horrible. it all look ridiculous. they are trying to be fun, but to me it looks pathetic, and dull.. for an Exhibition program it d be all right, but for a LP intended to be competitive, i think this is not enough by a mile...
