Yup, usually greatness is mixture of both. But I think almost anyone who has the heart for music and is willing to make the sacrifices (music first, everything second) is almost condemned to be great :D
No-one is born as a guitarist or a musician, they become one. I think Paul didn't start up by wanting to be super great. What's the point of being great if you don't like playing enough to play all the time.
For me, the greatest gift one can get, is the stubborn love for music.

I totally agree with you, but I´ve thought sometimes that talking about Paul for instance, his huge hands make "easier" his playing. That´s something that I can´t myself cause I have small hands. That´s a silly exemple but I supose that´s a question of adapting your playing to your possibilities and then develope your skills.
Anyway, one thing is clear: Paul is the man :)
