Some people love math and English.

One thing has to be said, it is good advertising: it caters to the lowest common denominator in the population. It gives lower IQ people (very fine people otherwise), the majority of the population, some pride-ride. The message sounds something like: "If you are as dumb as I am, come eat pizza with me!". That is very appealing ... kudos to the advertising agency (who must have very, very high IQ to come up with something this effective for sales! ). Too bad it may discourage kids away from math.

You may cut my pizza satisfying these conditions:
A square, with the corners on the edge of the pizza, must be cut, with a surface area equal to the surface area of the remaining pizza pieces.
Have fun with that.

Just FYI for those keeping score, Pizza Hut has responded on our FB page. The PR director says that they pulled the ad "over a week ago", even though I didn't see it for the first time until 4 days ago. Are some of you still seeing the ad on ESPN.com, Hulu, or elsewhere? If so, please comment here or on the wall at the FB group. Can't post a link to the group but it's called "Math lovers unite to boycott Pizza Hut!".
