Our son Jake, the face of one of the children fighting this disease. Jake was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on September 20th 2010. He will never out grow this, he will live with this forever unless a cure is found. Jake struggles everyday to be a normal little boy, playing sports, attending school and all the days events of an innocent little 8 year old. Type 1 diabetes never sleeps, never takes a vacation, never has a holiday and never goes by a calendar. Despite all of this, Jake is still the loving and caring, sweet little boy he was before he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabtetes. Jake and his family are hopeful that one day a cure will be found for Type 1 Diabetes. The JDRF is our only hope.

  • I have diabetes to i kust want to have a normal life

  • Jakes awesome! I too have T1, Jake is an inspiration to me and makes me smile. I lived for 40 years before being diagnosed with T1, and for the last 7 years I have had to deal with this silent disease and all of the pokes, sticks, and having to always have a snack with me...but it's all good, each day I face mountains of obstacles that I must deal with, that others like Jake and alot of kids just like him are also forced to face. Have Jake take a look at my blog, supwithdiabetes.blogspot.com

  • I love your video- what a great song/video that says it all. Keep Holdin on Jake!

We share the same sad story...
