I think it's severely fucked up that there are so few views & so little commentary from the people who have seen these episodes despite being uploaded for a WHOLE YEAR and being accessible world-wide for FREE.

The witch trial thing still blows me away. Got my wife to watch just this part and she was impressed, and this sort of stuff isn't her cup of tea.

James Burke is one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing this informative video.

People like to use a notion of certitude to save themselves from fear of the unknown. This seems funny to me, since there are so many known things to be afraid of. Some people are Buddhist physicists... This seems ironic.
Thank you to JBW and James Burke for the enlightening and educational experience.

This same killing of accused witches goes on today in India and Africa. Yet it is often only spoken of as history.

Darwin's theory is pure poppy cock- those who subscribe to the Darwinian religion are far more religios and dogmatic than 13th century Vatican inquisition Gouls -
No segment of the world of nature can demonstrate evolution all species remain true to genetic host forms-

To quote Monty Python "We have found a witch, may we burn her?". "How do you know she is a witch?". "She looks like one.." "..She turned me into a newt...I got better".
The two balancing forces of my youthful development; Mr. James Burke and Monty Python. Thank you PBS.

soooo true. I actually tried buying this series, and it's over $150.00. For a series that was made almost before I was even born. I don't think people realize how important the message of something like this is. I always thought this was what the internet was made for. The sharing of information....great, important information. Instead, the internet and youtube are built on porn and rambling idiots that revel in celebrity news and making racist, hateful comments.
this is the internet.
So sad that this is the last episode. Still, it does overlap a bit with Connections.

I hear ya...
Well, there's nothing stopping someone from continuing from here. There are over 6 *billion* people on the planet.
Surely if one of them had nearly the talent for doing this sort of thing then I think loads of people, myself included, would be willing to pay for it.
And that's up front of course (given a sample). Takes money to make shows, and those special individuals are 99% 'o the time broke. Why? Because they passionately care about learning and teaching (not a paid job).

I first caught on to your videos in 1990. Connections put the history of world into a more vivid focus. They changed my life for real. I thank my brother for recording them, and you for producing them!

Except that I am not James Burke. But I'll take the compliment ;) [just kidding]
Yes, he's truly an inspirational character. Greatest educator that ever lived IMHO.
