This is the first little house mix i've recorded on my new setup...

Denon dn-s5000
Denon dn-s3000
Stanton smx401
Korg Kaoss Pad 2

I only got this the other day so i'm only a few days into mixing... played around with virtualdj and that but nothing proper.

Boris Dlugosch - Bangkok
Laidback Luke & Lee Mortimer - Blau
Ian Carey Project - Get Shaky (Vandalism Remix)

please comment on what you think of it, and any help is appreciated.
thanks.

  • good job. Saw your 2step mix also; well done. Beatmatching could be tighter, but still great overall.

How do you like the 3000? thinking about getting a pair to replace my 1000's. Also, any reason you're not cueing in vinyl mode?

  • thanks man... and yeah i really like the 3000s, they're really effective and easy to use, but if you save up just a little bit more money you could get a 5000 like i have or a pair of 5000s as they come with more features like multiple hot start and a bpm counter, which the 3000 doesn't have.

and umm no reason really, no, its just how i've found myself doing it ahaha.

  • Hey aaaaalife - You may be the perfect person to ask this - Can you run me through the major differences between the two units (3000 vs 5000) since you own both? Have you tried any of the upgrades on these units? And Finally - have you used the 3500 as well? I'm trying to pick up some quality players to back up my vinyl (Tech 1210's) and mp3 controller (xone DX) and Denon seems to be the best bang for the buck - that is nice quality without the price tag of pioneer.

  • Awesome. Unfortunately GC had em on their website (but aren't stocking them!!), so im getting the 3500s. Oh well!

Keep up the good work, good choice in music also
