Does anybody know why they have only one exhaust exit?
I'm asking this, because the world championship gsxr 1000 has two exhaust pipes, the british superbikes, 2 pipes, the stock gixxer has 2 pipes. So why do they have one only? Does it suit better the american tracks, or has nothing to do with that?
@Vermeullen I think it was simply a matter of weight vs horsepower. I remember seeing a test bike that year (2007) with dual carbon fiber yoshimura trc pipes and the riders got better results with the lighter single pipe setup and an insignificant change in hp. The stock exhaust is a dual setup for environmental emission restrictions and sound decibel regulations.
