@skylinephotographs Ah thanks man, I haven't tried it yet but I will tonight. This is how my pedal board set-up, my Crybaby Wah-Boss Chromatic Tuner-Electro-Harmonix Linear Boost-MXR Fullbore Metal-Boss Blues Driver and they are all plug straight into my Head's Input.
@TonyPaj You're probably putting it before your preamp or distortion pedals. If you put it before the distortion or overdrive, it will only make it sound a bit crunchier, but no volume boost. Try putting that in your FX loop and tell me if it works. Where you place any pedal in your chain affects your tone greatly.
I just bought this today and realized that it only works on clean and not on dirty channel. I ran this over orange rockerverb 50 1st Generation with orange 2x12 close back cab. Am I right that this pedal is only for clean boost?
@JohnDCvlog Man, I understand that the more volume has Marshall class 5 then more it becomes overdriven BUT I compared EHX LPB-1 with Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster with my amp - and SD's booster sounds much better! It doesn't cut high frequencies.
They claim this is a copy of the orignal 70's LPB 1 or 2, its not even close.. the 70's was a simple transistor based boost that had a sweet spot around 1 oclock on most amps. This pedal is just clean volume no matter where its set. I wish they would make the orignal LPB 1 again cause this one sucks! unless its a colored clean sound your looking for. otherwise useless and a waste of space.
@TonyPaj The only way to increase the volume on either clean and dirty channel, is to put it in the effect loop.
