Like my biology proffessor says; we are entering the "Endarkment" period. Politicians who denounce biology or science should not be elected in office. Practicality versus common belief. To think that we should be past that phase during the 1650's yet here we are again. The endless cycle of stupidity. *sigh

This is why religious people are retarded.
Seriously, if someone raped this man's wife and got her pregnant, he'd be like "Thank you, God!" ????

Lt. Murdoch (Trey Wilson): Alright Leo, what the hell do you want? Lt. Leo McCarthy (Brian Dennehy):I need to see DeFranco’s file, right now. Murdoch: For goodness’ sake Leo, don’t you ever give up? McCarthy: (grabbing Murdoch by the necktie & collar, jerking him out of his seat): Now listen to me you little stupid creep, I got no more time to fool around with you. Now you break out Defranco’s file right now or I’ll rip out your throat. Unrelated: Wilson dying on boxer Roy Jones Jr.’s 20th b’day

no I dont think God santion rapes but as chrisitans we know he loves us and wants to to fellow his word no matter the circumstances and the truth is that children are God's gift.
it is not his wish that will abort the child even in terrible circumstances like rape.
As I can speak for other women (I guess this is where the pro choice bliv comes in) but if it was up to me I would never have an abortion even if I get raped.

Well, that was your pastors experience and he was a RARE child of rape who made it through. And his father was in prison? and killed himself. The consequences of that act resounds.
Not all make it through those experiences. I would say that pastor is a rare one.
But I am a Christian, but not for a minute do I believe God sanctions rape.

I bliv as christian we bliv God knows our hearts and holds our future even when life takes a horrible turn..
My pastor was a result of a rape.his father raped his mother and then killed himself in prison.
My pastor's mother could have aborted him if he wanted but she didnt.
today he is a loving family man with kids and a christain sharing the true gospel of christ.
Real chrisitiniy is not been a right wing neo conservative republican.
maybe many americans will one day realise that.

Who are you speaking for? only those who say they are thankful.
I know many children from horribly abusive families who wish they were never born.
So, some people might survive the ordeal of being "unwanted" and go over it. Or perhaps never get told they were from rape or an unwanted pregnancy, but many don't get over it because liffe long consequences occur.

am an independent christian and I agree with what Mourdock is saying.however the thing is, his views only applies to christians.Unfortuentely USA is a diverse country and many people in USA dont live by chrisitan principles.

I'm truly sorry to learn of your sister, and the ordeals she has suffered. She chose her path, which she is entitled to do. That doesn't mean that her path is the only path for women who are rape victims.
BTW, I also hold a BSN, and I'm also a sexual abuse survivor. As for abortion?? I'll never present it as an easy solution, but it is an alternative that no grey suited man has any right to deny a woman. Sometimes, there are no "good answers" to tragic events; just unfortunate outcomes.
